Registration for the ICPC Kanpur Site was open to all eligible teams from recognized institutions. Teams were required to register both at icpc.global and at their selected regional site.
Each team consisted of up to three student contestants and one coach. A coach could manage multiple teams, but each team required a unique registration on the ICPC Global portal.
Teams could participate in a maximum of two regional sites (Amritapuri, Chennai, Kanpur). If participating in multiple sites, all team members and coach details had to remain identical across registrations.

The Preliminary Online Contest will serve as the only qualifying round for advancement to the Kanpur, Amritapuri and Chennai Onsite Regionals, with a single common preliminary round for all three sites. As per the ICPC Asia West Continent Rules, a team may participate in a maximum of two regional sites, and to be eligible, must complete all registration formalities, including separate payment of the registration fee for each site. Each participant must use the same email ID across all their teams during registration on the ICPC global site, and all team members along with the coach must belong to the same institution. The top-performing teams from the ICPC Kanpur Site will further qualify for the ICPC Asia West Continent Championship. For detailed eligibility criteria and additional rules, participants are advised to refer to the official ICPC Regional Rules and the ICPC Asia West Continent Championship page.

Note: Teams are encouraged to complete Step 1 and Step 2 immediately to confirm their registration. Step 3 (Undertaking) can be submitted later before the deadline. All three steps are mandatory to participate in the Online Contest.
In case a team is already registered for another ICPC Regional Site (i.e. Amritapuri or Chennai) and has already submitted a signed undertaking for that site, a separate signature for the Kanpur Site is not required. The same undertaking (of Amritapuri or Chennai) may be used for the Kanpur Site as well because there will be a single preliminary online contest. However, submitting the undertaking (it may be of any regional site) through the Google Form for ICPC Kanpur Site is mandatory for all teams (in step 3).
â‘ Step 1: Registration at ICPC Global

The coach should initiate the registration process by signing up themselves and their team members (providing names and email addresses) on the ICPC global website. Start by navigating to Create new team(s) and selecting Asia West Continent Contests from the map. After this, choose The 2025 ICPC Asia Kanpur Regional Contest from the tree, then locate and click on The 2025 ICPC Asia Kanpur Preliminary Contest. Select the Preliminary Round and complete all required information. Afterward, each contestant will receive an email from the ICPC site to individually complete their profile. Remember that all contestants and the coach must belong to the same Institute.
â‘¡ Step 2: Payment & Google Form Submission

(i) Transfer the registration fee using NEFT/RTGS or Online Remittance (Paytm, BHIM, GooglePay, etc.) to the account mentioned below. Do not forget to take a screenshot/picture of the transaction. (ii) Fill all the information in the Google registration form along with screenshot/photograph of registration fee transaction proof. Submit before the last date of registration. Do not submit multiple copies of the registration form. (One team, one form)

â‘¢ Step 3: Submission of Undertaking

All teams are required to submit an Undertaking / Declaration Form signed by the Coach and Head of Department / Principal / Director, confirming that all team members are bonafide students and that the contest will be conducted under institutional supervision. The undertaking can be downloaded from this link. Once filled, signed, and sealed, please upload the scanned copy using the Google Undertaking submission form. The last date for submission is November 04, 2025. Without filling this form, your team will not be able to participate in the Preliminary Online Contest, even if your status is Accepted.
